The Northwest Passage

Fresh sea air, giant Sitka Spruce, short Shore Pine, good friends, good music- my time up and away was splendiferous. Both shows were sold out, the crowds were on fire, the dancing was creative, the coffee was fair trade, the lunch with Nathan and Diana Cullen was inspiring, the eagles were plentiful, and the fellowship was grand. I now sit looking out at the mountains far away in Tweedsmuir Park and wonder if I can actually get there this summer. Pondosi Lake is supposed to be excellent fishing.

My Country...

I love my country. We had 3 incredible shows this past weekend and celebrated the arrival of new album, Where Your Garden Grows. I was on cloud seven from thursday until tuesday night i think. The crowds in Prince George, Smithers, and Burns Lake were on fire and lifted me and the band to optimum performance level. I was also blessed to work with the Prince George youth along side the Sadies (Toronto based killer band). The four hour long workshop was super fun and creative with excellent original songs being produced for the afternoon show. Kit, Joby, and i drove to Smithers to be joined by Scott Atchison on lap steel and Mark Perry on sound! You guys saved me...I LOVE YOU BOTH!!!! And the icing on the cake was having the Skeena Watershed Conservation Coalition peeps there to run the bar. If I had my way I would buy land and we would all live together and smoke salmon and be merry on a regular basis. After being spoiled by the Perry's (breakfast and dinner thank you) we made the big drive to my home town of Burns Lake. Once again the venue was full and the vibe was purrrrrfect and I came home a happy rocker girl. Thank you Kit for being such a talented, positive, and enthusiastic bass player. Thank you Joby for being my brother, friend, killer drummer, and record producer. Thank you Scott for being so multi talented, funny, hard working, and in agreeance to play with me:) Thank you Mark for being my coach, my mentor, my sound man, and my friend!
Oh, love and peace are in the air.
