Massey Hall Ticked Off of List!
It was everything I hoped it would be. Massey Hall was a dream come true. It was on my wish list from when I was 19 years old and low and behold it became a reality last night. I was a part of the Toronto Women's Blues Review sharing the stage with numerous greats and grooving with an allstar band of old and new friends. The numbers needed to be bluesy thus I chose to rock "Take Me Right Back", "Windmill Hill", and "Showerhead". As soon as Shelagh Rogers introduced me I felt like I was hitting the ice for the biggest game of my life. Once the first tune went around once my temperature rose, the nerves relaxed, and the music took over. The rest was a blur except for the sushi...the salmon was amazing. Highlights- hanging with Sass Jordan's adorable daughter Stella, getting my hair done by Jazz Goddess Terra Hazelton, having hot running water and no wood stove to fill for 3 nights, and hearing Lily's sexy keyboard line come in on Windmill Hill. Now I am heading back to the Northwest and am going to learn how to install ceiling insulation with a vapor barrier and proper air spacing ect. I need to get this done before - 30 hits my fair land! THANK YOU TORONTO BLUES SOCIETY and to all the NEW FANS who bought ALL MY CDS!!!!!!
